A unanimous vote put the proposed 6.9 mill levy on Toledo Public School's map during the special board meeting on Monday morning.
The levy will now go up for a vote on the November election ballot.
Several elected officials and community and business leaders will gather to declare their support at the TPS Levy Kickoff at 10:30 a.m.
Leaders will emphasize that "strong schools promote job growth and protect property values."
The district says the 6.9 mill levy, which will cost the owner of a $60,000 house about $126.79 per year, will help continue the implementation of the multi-year tranformation plan and allow the school system to contribute to the region's renewal.
If passed, the levy will generate $18.5 million for the district.
