The Army says it could be weeks before they know what killed a former Lenawee County resident who collapsed and died in Afghanistan in the middle of a Skype video chat with his wife.
Captain Bruce Clark's family raised the possibility that he had been shot after his wife thought she saw what looked like a bullet hole in the closet behind him. But according to officials, an autopsy done on friday revealed no bullet wounds of any evidence of foul play.
"He loved being in the military and he loved serving his country. He was absolutely willing to make any sacrifice, and it's just horrible that this is the sacrifice he ended up making" said Mariana Barry, Clark's sister.
Clark was a chief nurse and had served in the Army since 2006.
The 43-year-old leaves behind his wife and two daughters.
He graduated from Addison High School in Lenawee County.
