TOLEDO -- Chrysler had a big April thanks in part to a pair of models built right here in Toledo. But the Detroit automaker's counterparts didn't fare so well last month.
Chrysler reported a 20% sales increase over April of last year.
Ford's sales fell 5% while General Motors had an 8% decline.
Chrysler can thank the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Liberty with helping fuel the company's sales surge in April.
The Toledo built Wrangler saw a 35% sales increase over last April. And sales of the Toledo built Liberty were up 19% compared to last year.
