CLINTON, MICH. -- Crime Stoppers of Lenawee County needs the public's help with information about an attempted abduction that occurred Monday around 7:50 p.m.

A 19-year-old Clinton woman told police she was walking on Coman Street near Burton when a full size white window van, believed to be a Ford, pulled up beside her. The male driver then asked the woman if she wanted a ride.

The woman declined and kept walking. The van stopped and the driver exited the driver's side door and approached the woman, grabbing her shirt. He told her to get in the van, but she was able to pull away and escape. The van then continued south on Burton Street toward US-12.

The suspect is described as 25-30 year old white male, 5' 8" to 6' tall, average build, blondish brown hair, clean shaven and wearing a plain white t-shirt with dark jeans.
