TOLEDO -- The Toledo man at the center of the "Suitcase Six" puppies case has pleaded not contest to abandoning the six puppies and their mother.

The judge found Howard Davis guilty of animal cruelty.

He was sentenced to four years probation and during that time he can not own any pets.

Also, the judge ordered Davis to surrender the six puppies and any other dogs he may have to the Toledo Area Humane Society.

The judge will revist Davis' case in June and if he's violated any of his orders he could be sentenced to six months in prison.

Do you think this is a fair sentence for abandoning 6 puppies and their mother?  Post your comments below or on WNWO's Facebook Fanpage.
