TOLEDO -- Lucas County's CARE Team will be handing out food to struggling families in East Toledo on Wednesday afternoon.

Any resident in need is invited to the Weiler Homes community room from 2 to 4 p.m. for a free allotment of food and health care referrals.

The CARE (Community Asset & Resource Engagement) Team is a partnership between Lucas County Commissioner Tina Skeldon Wozniak and a host of social service agencies.

The group has helped more than 2,000 Lucas County families since it began three years ago.
