TOLEDO (AP) -- A Scotsman released from prison four years ago after spending two decades on Ohio's death row has agreed to a plea deal over accusations that he threatened a judge who prosecuted his original case.

An Ohio prosecutor says Ken Richey will enter a guilty plea to a felony charge next week and faces no more than three years in prison.

Richey is accused of leaving a threatening phone message for a county judge on New Year's Eve.

He was on death row for 21 years after being convicted of setting a fire that killed a 2-year-old.

Richey denied any involvement, and a U.S. court determined his lawyers mishandled the case.

Richey was set free in 2008 under a deal that required him to plead no contest to a lesser charge.
