Bowling Green toddler's death ruled a homicide

BOWLING GREEN -- Bowling Green detectives are investigating the homicide of a 2-year-old who was taken to the Wood County Hospital in an unresponsive state on Feb. 22.

The Lucas County Coroner ruled Emma Zehnpfenning's death a homicide in a recent report. The investigation into the incident continues by the coroner's office personnel and the Bowling Green Police Division.

Zehnpfenning was taken to the hospital by an acquaintance of her mother.  The child was transferred to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, but never regained consciousnes.

CrimeStoppers have the opportunity to remain anonymous and are eligible for a reward of up to $1000 if the information that they provide proves to be pertinent to the case.
