The federal government is investigating reports of fires in two types of vehicles, including the Toledo-built Jeep Wrangler.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is looking into eight reports of fires in 2010 Jeep Wranglers.

In most of those claims the flames started as the vehicles were moving, destroying 4 of those 8 vehicles.

The NHTSA is also investigating engine fires in two 2011 Chevy Cruzes.

Those fires also started as the cars were moving, and both vehicles were destroyed.

No one has been hurt in any of the cases under investigation.
