Mother and son charged with kidnapping ex-girlfriend arraigned

A mother and son accused of kidnapping a young woman were arraigned on Monday.

On Saturday afternoon, police said the pair assaulted and abducted 21-year-old Emiliano Zapata's ex-girlfriend while she was visiting friends at an apartment complex in Rossford.  

Emiliano's bond was set at $150,000 on one count of kidnapping and one count of domestic violence. He has a preliminary hearing in Perrysburg Municipal Court on a domestic violence charge Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. and another for a kidnapping charge on April 10 at 9:30 a.m. He's being held at the Wood County jail.

Rosa Mary Zapata, 42, is charged with one count of kidnapping. Her bond was set at $50,000. She has a preliminary hearing on April 5 at 1:30 p.m.
