Jeep brand helps Chrysler to stellar February sales  / WNWO Newsfile

TOLEDO -- Chrysler had its best February in four years, fueled by the legendary Jeep brand.

The Big Three Detroit automakers released their February sales figures Thursday.

Chrysler had the best month, with its sales rising 40%.

Ford came in second with a 14% rise.

General Motors posted a modest 1% gain last month.

All Jeep models posted double digit sales gains in February.

The Toledo built Jeep Liberty's sales rose 25% while the Wrangler, which is also built at Toledo North saw its sales rise 22%.

Chrysler says February marked its 23rd straight month of sales increases.
