TOLEDO -- A Toledo man will spend the next 9 years in prison for killing another man last summer.

20-year-old Byron Mitchell was sentenced Tuesday.

He had entered an Alford plea to involuntary manslaughter in connection to the July 3, 2011 shooting death of 40-year-old Eric Daniels.

Mitchell and Daniels were involved in a fight at an impromptu car show. That brawl erupted in gunfire and Daniels was shot in the back.

Mitchell could have received 13 years in prison.
