GRAYTOWN -- Ottawa County Sheriff's Deputies are tracking two suspects who tried to steal a safe from Country Keg early Sunday morning.
Around 2:25 a.m., a deputy patrolling the area observed a vehicle on Grayton Road with no license plate light. After turning to purse the vehicle, the driver accelerated and turned east onto Toussaint North Road.
Two of the suspects then fled the scene by foot. Deputies inspecting the area found the safe lying in the roadway. All stolen items were recovered from the scene.
Police say one suspect is in custody but two others are still on the loose. Sgt. Kent Davis reports both suspects have been identified and will have warrants issued for their arrest.
