DETROIT -- Testimony began Tuesday in the trail of seven members of a Lenawee County based militia accused of trying to rebel against the US government.

An FBI agent testified that an undercover informant was paid about $31,000 to infiltrate the group called Hutaree.

The informant recorded conversations with the defendants and those recordings are now evidence in the case.

Prosecutors claim Hutaree members were preparing to wage war against the government.

The defendants deny it.
