BRYAN -- Bryan and Williams County authorities continue to search for an inmate after he apparently walked away from his work site early Monday afternoon.

Aaron Garrett, 26, was last seen working at the recycling center near the Bryan Community Center in Bryan around 1:30 p.m. Monday. He is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, 185 pounds and a shaven head with blue eyes. He was last seen wearing an orange and white striped inmate jumpsuit.

Garrett had been incarcerated at Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio in Stryker since Nov. 14 on two charges of driving under the influence, two charges of driving without a license and an attempt to commit an offense charge out of Maumee and Toledo municipal courts.

On Jan. 13, he was placed on the Community Correction Program. He was scheduled for release on April 3.

A felony escape charge has been filed agaomst Garrett. Both the Bryan Police and Williams County Sheriff's Department, along with the dog units, have been called out to search for Garrett.

It was the first walk away from a community corrections work site since 2006. There have been a total of 15 walk aways with all 15 apprehended.
