BOWLING GREEN -- A Marco's Pizza delivery driver was assaulted for food by two masked suspects on Monday night.

Just before 10 p.m., the driver attempted a delivery at an apartment on South Mercer Road, but the tenants said they did not place an order. As he was walked back to his vehicle, two black males wearing hooded coats or sweatshirts began punching him in the face.

According to Bowling Green police, one subject was wearing a dark scarf or mask over his face while the second wore a similar light colored mask. The assailants took the food the victim was carrying and fled.

Bowling Green police are investigating the incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Police Division at (419)-352-2571 or Wood County CrimeStoppers at (419)-352-0077.
