Boyfriend charged in fatal Napoleon stabbing

NAPOLEON, OHIO -- A young woman has been stabbed to death and police have charged her boyfriend with her murder.

According to Chief of Police, R.L. Weitzel, Napoleon police were advised of a possible homicide at 555 W. Main St. at approximately 11:57 a.m.

When police arrived at the scene, they found the body of 19-year-old Katilyn Nagel in a bedroom. She had been stabbed multiple times and was dead at the scene.

Police have charged her boyfriend, Michael Peddicord, of 555 W. Main St., Napoleon, with her murder. He is incarcerated in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio awaiting arraignment in Napoleon Municipal Court.

Nagel's body was sent to the Lucas County Coroner's office, who will conduct the autopsy.
