TOLEDO -- Union officials say Chrysler Group LLC plans to add 25 workers per shift at their Toledo Assembly Plant.

Published reports say Chrysler has decided to add the labor to relieve some of the pressure on the plant's busy Wrangler Line.

The plant has struggled to meet growing demand, and Sergio Marchionne, a Chrysler chief executive, told The Blade that the company only has a 30-day supply of Jeep Wranglers as orders continue to climb. The plant is the only place in the world where the Wrangler is built.

The plant plans to produce an extra 100 vehicles per day.
