Express Carryout runaway robbery suspect arrested

TOLEDO -- The suspect who got away after his accomplice was shot during the armed robbery of Express Carryout in November was arrested Wednesday night.

Joseph R. Hunter was booked into the Lucas County jail on charges of aggravated robbery, criminal trespass, drug abuse and littering.

Police issued a warrant for his arrest after Hunter and Lamar Allen entered the store on Mulberry Street with semiautomatic weapons on Nov. 21. Hunter escaped after Allen was shot and killed by the store clerk.
