ST. BERNARD -- A real life Grinch stole 2,000 toy during a Christmas weekend break-in at a Toys for Tots warehouse.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports the burglar or burglars broke in through a window and took toys like "board games, dolls, Coca-Cola logo items" and personal items that belonged to the Marines.

Police have collected fingerprints and DNA evidence and are checking surrounding surveillance video systems to identify those involved in the theft.

The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve organizes Toys for Tots drives annually for needy children in the community.
