FINDLAY -- A federal mediator was not able to make any progress in breaking a stalemate between Cooper Tire and The United Steelworkers union.

Contract negotiations have broken off and it's unknown when they may resume.

A new hot button issue is Cooper Tire reportedly wants to re-evaluate pay levels for all union workers.  That's something the union president told WNWO News, his members are not happy about.

Workers have been locked out of the Findlay factory since November 28.
