PERRYSBURG -- A Colorado man is facing felony drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized 21 pounds of hydroponic marijuana, valued at more than $100,000, following a traffic stop Tuesday on the Ohio Turnpike in Wood County.

Troopers stopped a 2011 Crown Victoria, with Colorado registration, for a marked lanes violation and a wearing headphones while driving violation at approximately 1:36 p.m. Criminal indicators were observed and a Patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed the hydroponic marijuana.

The suspect, Ilya Klyuchnikov, 33, of Greenwood Village, Colo., was incarcerated in the Wood County Jail and charged with drug abuse and trafficking in marijuana, both third-degree felonies, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor charge.

If convicted, the suspect faces up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
