With only a few days to go before America gobbles up its turkey dinners on Thanksgiving Day, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has ratcheted up its pro-vegan campaign by targeting children.

In a billboard ad released in time for the holiday, PETA asks children the following:

"KIDS: If you wouldn't eat your dog, why eat a turkey?"

The ad continues with "Go Vegan" and shows a dog's head on a turkey's body.

Earlier this month, PETA came out against Nintendo's Super Mario character because the video game hero wears the skin of a raccoon dog.

How would you react if you saw this billboard near your child's school? Does it go too far? Sound off below and on our WNWO Facebook page.
