ROSSFORD -- Rossford High School students unveiled a project honoring those in the community who have served our country.

Over the past year, students in the Serving Our Soldiers club (SOS) spent nearly a year collecting the names and pictures of Rossford’s veterans and active military.

Those names and pictures are now displayed on the Wall of Honor at Rossford High School.

Korean veteran Larry Hoffmann of the United States Army of Engineers was one of those at the wall’s unveiling.

“All the kids that go to school here can remember the people that went before them and how they served their country,” Hoffman said.

World War II veteran Alvin Richards of the United States Navy is one of those honored on the wall. Richards past away 22 years ago, but his service is being recognized once again.

“It brought tears to my eyes.” Richards’ daughter, Lori Roach, said.

“He would just love seeing his picture up there,” Roach added.
