TOLEDO -- The Andersons have teamed up with local boy scout troops to help retire old and worn out American flags. On Saturday, they set up in front of the store from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  On Sunday, they're collecting "old glory" from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Bins are located at four Andersons locations: Maumee, Woodville Mall, Toledo, and the Sylvania Food Market.

Local reserves and boy scouts will fold them and then burn them later in the year.

"It's very important to properly dispose of it by fire," said Steve Sherman, assistant Scout Master of Troop 87.  "It shows respect for the country and for the troops that serve the country."

This is the 10th anniversary of such an event and they collected over 4,000 flags in 2010.
