TOLEDO -- Prison officials ended the Toledo Correctional Institution lock-down around 12:15 a.m. on Friday after quelling rumors that a weapon or explosive device might be inside the facility.

Authorities said they found no additional contraband after confiscating several make-shift knives, a cell phone and drugs during the first search.

Just before 11 p.m. on Thursday,  a spokesperson with the Ohio Department of Corrections said that 75 percent of the facility had been searched in the hopes of resolving any concerns.

The institution will return back to normal operations on Friday.
