BOWLING GREEN, OHIO -- Do you like to sing? Can you dance? Are you a gifted musician? Do you have a burning desire to work and live in an award winning resort and amusement park? If so, Cedar Point wants you to entertain their guests during the 2012 season.

Representatives from Cedar Point will be in Bowling Green to find talented entertainers and technicians for next summer's shows. Auditions are scheduled for November 8.

"Cedar Point's live entertainment division has earned more than two dozen Big E Awards presented by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions for excellence in live entertainment," said Robin Innes, Director of Communications for Cedar Point. "The park has six live show venues and was recently named as the Best Amusement Park in the Wold for the 14th consecutive year."

Available positions include performers such as singers and dancers, musicians who play keyboards, guitar, fiddle, and percussion, technicians wot work as stage managers, audio and light technicians, stage crews and costume shop personnel, PEANUTS characters and karaoke host and DJs.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by May 2012 to audition. Each audition piece should be limited to 16-32 bars and applicants should select music that is upbeat and illustrates their personality and ability to interact with audience members.

A Compact Disc player and piano will be provided, but other instruments and amplifiers will not. Interested applicants should bring a one page resume with references to the audition.

Auditions are scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 8 in room 405 of University Hall on the Bowling Green State University Campus. Those who are not able to attend the audition should submit an audio for videotape with a resume to Cedar Point Live Entertainment, One Cedar Point Dr., Sandusky, Ohio 44870-5259.

Employees of Cedar Point receive free admission to the park, the Cedar Point beach, and Soak City outdoor water park. Low cost housing is available for employees 18 and older and live more than 30 miles from the park.
