TOLEDO -- A school bus collided with a turning vehicle carrying two teens on Hill Avenue just after 7 a.m. on Wednesday.

Authorities had to cut 16-year-old Denzell Woodson out of his car because the bus struck the driver's side and pinned him. Toledo Police told WNWO that Woodson was in and out of consciousness when paramedics transported him to University of Toledo Medical Center.

The school bus driver, Gail Jacobs, was transported to UTMC with minor injuries. Police said she was mostly shaken up after the incident.

The police report now identifies the third person injured in the crash as Woodson's passenger, 17-year-old Tiasia Hood. She was transported by ambulance to Mercy St. Anne Hospital and her condition was not immediately released.

According to witnesses, the car pulled out of Byrne Hill Apartments without stopping and made a right onto Hill Avenue as the bus was travelling eastbound. Jacobs did not have enough time to brake and crashed into the driver's side of the vehicle.

No children were on board the bus at the time of the crash. Authorities are still investigating the incident.
