DAYTON (AP) -- A soldier from western Ohio who pulled two wounded comrades to safety in Afghanistan before he was killed has been posthumously awarded the Silver Star medal for valor. Twenty-five-year-old Army Spc. Jesse Snow was killed in Afghanistan on Nov. 14. The Dayton Daily News reports Snow's parents were presented with the medal Friday at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. More than 1,000 people attended the ceremony.
Gov. John Kasich said during the event that the Fairborn native would be "honored for eternity because he laid down his life for his friends." Retired Air Force Chief Master Sgt.
