LUNA PIER --
An Ohio homicide suspect is reported dead on scene by the Monroe County Sheriff. The suspect was wanted in question of a murder that took place Saturday in Butler, Oh. The Butler County Sheriff advised authorities near Luna Pier that the suspect was possibly in the area. Officers from the Monroe County Sheriff and Luna Pier Police Department where able to track the suspect to the Motel 8 in Luna Pier.
The suspects car was parked outside of the Motel and it was determined that the suspect was staying on the first floor of the motel.
After the first floor of the hotel was evacuated; officers from Monroe County, Luna Pier and Michigan State Police surrounded the building after hearing a gunshot inside. The Monroe County Sheriff SRT Team gained entry into the room where it was determined that the suspect took his own life.
