TOLEDO -- A fatal traffic crash late Saturday night left one Toledo teen dead and two injured near Highland Park.

Toledo Police report that Deshyren Koonce, 17, was riding in the back seat of a car driven by Darron Parker, 24. As Parker approached the intersection of South Avenue and Geneva Avenue, 18-year-old Arthur Hayes failed to brake and rammed his vehicle into the back of Parker's, pushing the car into a light pole of the road.

All three were taken to the hospital, where Deshyren was pronounced dead from his injuries. Police are still investigating, but believe Hayes was driving too close to Parker's vehicle, impairing his brake time.

No charges have been filed in the incident.
