TOLEDO, OH -- He's been the darling of conservatives across the country and made numerous appearances in various national media. Now, Joe Wurzelbacher -- better known as "Joe the Plumber" -- has his eyes set on Congress, according to Politico.com.

The website reports that Wurzelbacher is contemplating a run against Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH). Kaptur represents Ohio's ninth congressional district which includes most of Lucas County, Ottawa County, Erie County, and part of Lorain County.

Kaptur has served in Congress since 1983, defeating incumbent congressman Ed Weber in the 1982 election. She has not been seriously challenged since 1984. In 2010, she defeated former Food Town President, Rich Iott 59 -- 41 percent.

According to a Kaptur spokesman, it is also rumored that Wurzelbacher is contemplating a challenge to Rep. Bob Latta (R-OH) who represents Ohio's fifth congressional district which is comprised of the western most portion of Lucas County as well as Wood, Williams, Fulton, Henry, Paulding, Defiance, Sandusky, and Seneca counties.

Latta was appointed to Congress in 2007 to fill the seat left vacant by the sudden death of Rep. Paul Gillmor. He easily won re-election in 2008 and 2010.

Would you consider voting for Joe the Plumber over Marcy Kaptur in 2012? If you live in Latta's district, would you take Joe the Plumber over Bob Latta in the primary?
