FREMONT -- A Fremont man is facing charges after he admitted to police that he shook and slapped a 2-year-old.

20-year-old Michael Lauffer was indicted last week on two felony charges.  Prosecutors say Lauffer threw and shook the child causing serious injuries on July 23, 2011.

Lauffer reportedly told police he just lost it because the child was being fussy and crying.

He's being held in the Sandusky County jail., The toddler is expected to survive.
