TOLEDO -- The University of Toledo is hoping to create a gateway for new and current students. The university Wednesday broke ground on its Gateway Project at the Corner of Dorr Street and Secor Road.

UT purchased the land to create a new development that will include a Barnes and Noble run university book store, a sports grille owned by UT football great Bruce Gradkowski as well as other student related retailers.

The project is expected to be completed by next summer.
