MIAMI, FL -- The mother of NBA superstar Lebron James is in trouble with the law in Miami. Police say a highly intoxicated Gloria James was arrested Thursday morning on charges she assaulted a hotel parking valet.
Sorel Rockfeller, a valet at Fontainbleau Hotel, claims James attacked him because she was angry it was taking a long time to deliver her car. Several witnesses supported Mr. Rockfeller's account of what occurred.
Police say James was apparently intoxicated as she had bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol on her breath.
Police had no plans to book her in jail and said she was released on her own recognizance, with a promise to appear in court.
Gloria James was arrested for DUI in 2006.
