(Bowling Green)--"Green" is the word for Bowling Green State University. Beside it being part of the school's name sake, it's a huge way of life on campus.
Dr. Nick Hennessy is an environmental studies instructor. But he also plays a big role in making the school a more sustainable place. For two years now, he's been the sustainability coordinator at BGSU.
Dr. Hennessy works on a variety of projects, from recycling to helping out with student incentives. The bike share program is one example. There's also a brand new re-store on campus. Students interviewed seem to fall right in line with all these eco-friendly efforts.
Dr. Hennessy recently spearheaded the university's Student Green Initiative Fund. BGSU is the only state institution in Ohio to have a fund where a $5 optional fee per student per semester goes toward green projects on campus.
