PERRYSBURG, OH -- Update: The Rossford School District has placed Principal William Buzzell on paid leave for an indefinite period.
A Rossford grade school principal is behind bars Tuesday after police executed a search warrant at his home and school office and found child pornography.
Perrysburg Police, with the assistance of the F.B.I. and the Toledo Police Computer Crime Unit, executed a search warrant at the home of William Buzzell, 28190 White Road, Perrysburg. From that search, evidence was seized and police arrested Mr. Buzzell, who is the principal at Glenwood Elementary School in Rossford.
Continuing from the original search warrant, information lead the investigators to Mr. Buzzell's office at Glenwood Elementary School. There, they seized more evidence.
Buzzell was charged with three counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor. All three counts are second degree felonies. Buzzell is being held at the Wood County jail with bond set at $90,000.
Rossford Superintendent, Dr. Susan Lang, was not available for comment.
