ADRIAN, MICH. -- The Morenci, Mich. father charged in the disappearance of his three sons told a judge Friday morning that he cannot return the boys to their mother.

John Skelton faces parental kidnapping charges after his three sons disappeared on Thanksgiving Day.  He has plead not guilty and is being held on $30 million bond.

Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton were last seen in their father's backyard on Nov. 25, 2010.  Skelton told a court, during a Dec. hearing, that he gave his sons to an organization. He refused to identify the person or group.

Skelton appeared in a Lenawee County Court Friday morning for a hearing related to his divorce case. During the hearing, the judge asked Skelton whether he was prepared to give his sons back to their mother.  He answered, "I can't."

Morenci Police Chief Larry Weeks has said that despite a continuous effort to find the young Skelton brothers continues, the outcome doesn't look good. "My desire is to retain hope," Weeks said just days after the boys went missing. "The information we have does not indicate that this will have a positive outcome."

A $10,000 reward has been offered by an anonymous donor to anyone who can return the three missing boys to their mother.

If you have any information regarding the boys disappearance or whereabouts please call the Morenci Police Department tip line at 517-458-7104.
