COLUMBUS (AP) -- An Ohio pharmacist facing nearly 200 counts of illegally dispensing prescription painkillers plans to plead guilty to some of the charges against him.

An indictment filed against Harold Fletcher in September alleged he filled prescriptions for painkillers such as oxycodone that he knew were not for legitimate medical purposes.

A court document filed Tuesday in federal court in Columbus indicates Fletcher planned to plead guilty.

Fletcher was scheduled to go on trial this week on charges of illegally disbursing prescription painkillers, money laundering and filing false tax returns.

Records from the Drug Enforcement Administration show Fletcher filled the prescription of a woman in southern Ohio's Scioto County who died the next day of an overdose.
