TOLEDO -- A South Toledo charter school got into the holiday spirit Friday.

Students at Knight Academy on Arco Drive off Hill Avenue loaded up a Toledo Seagate Food Bank truck Friday Morning. The school has been collecting canned goods for the past month.

It's the third year they've been doing this. Last year they collected about 2,000 pounds. The goal this year was 4,000 pounds and school leaders think they got about 6,000 pounds.

Student were also able to shed their uniforms Friday if they donated $2.00 and three canned goods to the Food Bank.
