OREGON, OH -- Instead of getting a Christmas bonus, some Oregon School District workers have been laid off.

Ten custodians are losing their jobs and 21 bus drivers will have their hours reduced on January 1, 2011. The School Board has to cut about 2 million dollars from its budget.

The other cuts include eliminating high school busing to Clay High school and closing Wynn Elementary School next school year.

An informational meeting for parents on the school closing will be held at Wynn Elementary on Wednesday, Dec. 15 at 6:00 pm.

The elimination of high school busing will be the subject of a meeting at Clay High School on Thursday, Dec. 16 at 6:00 pm.
