(Toledo)--The mood at Metzgers Printing and Mailing is definitely looking a whole lot brighter with the addition of more than four thousand square feet of solar panels on the roof of its main printing plant in south Toledo. There's hope close to 13% of its annual power usage can be generated through this technology.

Metzgers worked with Solscient Energy for more than a year on this project, considered to be one of the largest solar installations at a privately help company.

Another five thousand square feet of panels will be added to the roof of the Mailing and Fulfillment Center off Frenchmens Road. The total array is capable of producing up to 125 thousand watts at any time during peak conditions. Think of it as powering 13 homes continuously.

Solscient Energy provided the system design, installation, and development of the solar array. This company is a tenant at the University of Toledo's Clean and Alternative Energy Incubator program.
