(Toledo)--Toledo's AAA Transmission wants to put you in a hybrid without the cost of buying one. At this auto shop a device is used to break water down to H-H-O. Two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. This is also known as Browns Gas. By using this alternative type of energy it's estimated your gas mileage can increase 20 to 50 percent.

When you convert your car to burn on water, you are converting water to a gas your engine can use. Some even refer to this as "hydrogen on demand." This gas is then introduced to the airflow in the intake manifold using your engine's vacuum. At this point the gas is mixed with the fuel creating an end product better for both the consumer and the environment.

The cost of the H-H-O device can run between $700 and a thousand dollars, depending if you install it yourself. If you're interested in getting one for your car, call AAA Transmission at 419-389-9800/419-389-9992. You can also go to www.brownsgas.com for more information about "running" your car on part water.
