ADRIAN, MICH. -- Authorities in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan are searching for three men wanted in connection with a violent home invasion in Lenawee Co. late Wednesday night.

The Lenawee County Sheriff's Office says three men forced their way into a home in Medina Township, near Morenci, around 11:00 p.m., firing a bullet through a window.

The suspects, dressed in black and armed with handguns, tied up a husband and wife and their two sons, ages 5 and 8.  The family members were also blindfolded as the suspects stole cash, electronics, tools, and firearms from inside the home.

The wife was sexually assaulted by one of the suspects.  She has been treated and released from an area hospital, according to the sheriff's office.

After the suspects fled in the family's blue 2000 GMC Sonoma pick-up truck, one of the young boys was able to free himself and his the rest of his family.  Police were called shortly after 12:00 a.m.

The suspects are believed to have ditched the pick-up truck in neighboring Hillsdale County.  Hunters found the vehicle near Lost Nations Trail southeast of Hillsdale around 11:00 a.m. The vehicle had been burned.  Authorities are now examining the remains for clues as to the suspect's whereabouts.

Citizens are being asked to be on the lookout for the suspects who are considered to be armed and dangerous.  If spotted, do not approach suspects and call law enforcement immediately.
