TOLEDO, OHIO -- The city of Toledo opened its very first mountain bike trail at Jermain Park on Saturday.

With support of city leaders and the help of over 35 volunteers the dirt trail was constructed entirely on donations.

During Saturday's dedication ceremony, Toledo Mayor Mike Bell shared a few words on the importance of creating more spaces within the city where people can be active.

The trail was designed and constructed in six months. It is now officially open for mountain bike enthusiasts who can ride the three-mile long path for free.
