Former Toledo Police office facing criminal charges

TOLEDO -- A former Toledo police officer finds himself on the other side of the law.

Ova Tate is now facing misdemeanor charges of theft in office.

Tate is accused of filling out time sheets for hours he never worked.

He resigned from the department Mid-September.

Tate was a 25 year veteran of the force. He is due in court at the end of October.
