Nine men arrested on NW Ohio drug trafficking charges

TOLEDO, OHIO -- Local and federal officials arrested nine men in Toledo and Michigan Thursday on charges they trafficked drugs in Northwest Ohio.

Those arrested, along with one man still being sought by authorities, have been indicted by the Wood County Sheriff's Office on charges ranging from Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, to Complicity.  The men are said to have been responsible for trafficking in both crack cocaine and heroin in areas of Northwest Ohio, specifically in Lucas and Wood counties.

Members of the drug trafficking organization (DTO) were captured at three different Toledo addresses and in Michigan early Thursday morning. Six members were arrested at 835 Oak (lower), 957 Kingston, and 2322 N. Erie in Toledo.  Three were taken into custody in Michigan. 

Those arrested include: Walter Hicks, 46; Lorenzo Cook, 42; Al-Murray Woods, 25; Thomas T. Simmons, 24; Victor Terry, 27; Samuel Ansley, 23; Jamar Simpson, 23; Ricky Williams, 24; and Lee Roy Lattimore, 22.  Tony Patterson, 30, remains at large.

Suspects arrested in Ohio are currently being held in the Wood County Jail.

The arrests come after a joint investigation by officials from ATF, DEA, FBI, BG Police, Perrysburg Police, Perrysburg Twp. Police, Toledo Metro Drug Task Force, and the Wood County Sheriff's Office.
