TOLEDO, OHIO -- A teenager wanted in connection with the attempted shooting of a Toledo Police officer is now in custody.

Authorities say Chadd Rabara, 17, was arrested Tuesday afternoon after being on the run since early Monday morning.

Rabara, along with two other men and one juvenile are said to have shot at a Toledo Police officer as he was attempting to stop their vehicle near the site of the old Southwyck Mall in South Toledo.

Toledo Police Officer Geroge Shaughnessy attempted to stop a vehicle near Brownstone and Cresthaven around 3:00 a.m. Monday when at least eleven shots were fired at the officer while he was inside his police cruiser.  He suffered a minor wound in the back of his head, presumably from shattered glass, according to Toledo Police Chief Mike Navarre.

Police say the shots were fired by Rabara.  Raul Moya, 16, Martin Cheno, 20, and Jorge Rojas, 19, who were also inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting, have been arrested and charged with attempted aggravated murder and felonious assault.

Cheno and Rojas are currently being held at the Lucas County Jail on $1 million bond each. They are scheduled to appear in court next on July 27.

Moya is being held at the Juvenile Justice Center.

Shaughnessy received only non-life threatening injuries and was treated at an area hospital. He was back on the job Monday night.
