LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Authorities in Louisville say a 26-year-old Ohio man has died after being severely beaten outside a restaurant.

The Kentucky Enquirer reported the victim - Bryan Stevenson - grew up in Independence in northern Kentucky. He was beaten Sunday afternoon following a softball tournament in Louisville. He played left field for the a northern Kentucky team called the Good Guys.

The newspaper reported four Louisville men were charged with murder in Stevenson's death and with assault for injuries to a teammate of Stevenson's. Ryan Hayes was released from University Hospital in Louisville on Monday.

Stevenson was a 2005 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and lived in Maumee, Ohio.
