LONDON, MICH -- Wind was the cause of a minor plane crash Saturday afternoon in London, Michigan in Monroe County.

The pilot was attempting to make an emergency landing of his single-engine self-built plane. The plane almost came to a stop when a gust of wind flipped the plane over during touchdown, coming to a rest on its roof.

The pilot, in his 50's, was the only one aboard the craft and was not injured.
